The Korean War coverRemembering, forgetting, never knowing. Dr. Bruce Cumings, in his recently published book, The Korean War: A History, examines how willingly America intruded into Korea after the Second World War and how difficult it's been for us ever afterward to deny ourselves any real understanding of Korean priorities. A modern tragedy. Also, the beginning of America's military empire. Definitely some history worth learning. Total runtime an hour and six minutes. Consider Pyongyang.

Great interview. Just reading "The Coldest War". A memoir by James Brady that I picked up in a VA clinic waiting room. Short on history, but a good picture of a Marine's life during the "second winter."
