Heartless Israel
It's crazy-making to watch the world's indifference to Israel's grinding destruction of the Palestinians. There isn't really even a word for it — either the indifference or the criminal assault, and particularly the latter. But like it or not, admit it or not, Israel has thoroughly implicated America. To talk about all this I turned to a former CIA analyst, Kathleen Christison, whose recent book Palestine in Pieces (with co-author husband Bill Christison) gets pretty much everything right. An inhuman problem, but a joy to realize that some of us are aware. Total runtime an hour and seventeen minutes. Take a stand!

It certainly is disheartening to see reports on the attitude of persons such as Susan Rice towards this process and the daily goings on in Jerusalem and Gaza.
"Dateline" on SBS in Australia recently aired this episode by Sophie McNeill, which according to other first hand accounts is a fairly accurate telling of events unfolding today. When, if ever, will it end, and what if anything will be left?

Zionism's Jewish Enemy
Alan Hart Interviews Professor Ilan Pappe, Israel’s leading "new" or "revisionist" historian.
Like all Israelis, Ilan was brought up, conditioned, to believe Zionism’s version of the history of the making and sustaining of the Arab-Israeli conflict. It wasn’t until he went to England to continue his academic studies that he had access to documentation which enabled him to understand that Zionism’s version is a propaganda lie.

I think I may be somewhat susceptible to arguments that support my intuitions. Ain't I self aware?! Christison's take on and description of the situation in the middle east simply make me want to go into a dark room and try to forget it all. The rank bullshit lines that are spouted by parties defending or failing to condemn Israel and the spin they submit for consumption is so partisan and cruel that I cannot imagine them successfully being brought around.
So, it's a great interview. You asked for my take. There it is.
[Thank you, Peter. g.]
