Pricing the Elixir of Life
Few people know as much about the water situation in the U.S. as Dr. Robert J. Glennon. Though I'd take a different tack than he would in knocking heads together I think he's proposed innovative, workable, "market-ish" based ways to rationalize water usage. And I completely agree with him that the problem is how to prevent a crisis from becoming a catastrophe. Total runtime an hour and three minutes. Comments welcome!

Another very interesting and well-informed guest — thanks George. I recently spent a few years living in Australia where the only water supply was the rain we collected from the roof. In those circumstances, conservation becomes automatic very quickly. I was shocked and distressed to see the incredible waste on my return to the US. There is enormous room for improving water use, and the organs of propaganda and mind control are ubiquitous and very influential. If the will to conserve is strong enough, the machinery to achieve this result is certainly adequate. And one other passing thought — no one uses bottled water to flush the toilet.
