The Price of Real Estate in Baghdad
It's important to keep in mind that there are no easy options for the U.S. in Iraq. But that's not to say we shouldn't be realistic. As the calamity narrows our choices for us it becomes increasingly important to pay attention to what's actually happening instead of to the spin coming from those at several levels of remove from events, whether Pooh-bahs in the Emerald City or in Versailles on the Potomac. Tom Lasseter, of McClatchy, performs a tremendous service — at great personal risk to himself — for getting out, looking around, and reporting facts on the ground. It's honesty from Tom and others like him that helps those remaining well-intentioned policy makers here in Washington make the right choices. It's always an honor and a pleasure to talk with Tom, a friend of EP. I think I can guarantee you that if you listen to this one you'll learn an important thing or two that you didn't already know. Runtime of about an hour.

George: The listen doesn't seem to work today...only plays for 4 minutes, then quits.

I'm sure we can fix it, Judy, whatever it is — and I'll follow the situation by email. Thanks for checking!
