Les Folies ICTY
The International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia has now spent over one billion dollars (and the meter's still running). As far as I can determine it has accomplished little except insofar as it has set back the idea of impartial, rules-based international justice by several decades. To parse out some of the ICTY's absurdities I talked with John Laughland, an extremely intelligent and well-spoken writer from the UK. We also talk about a few points of recent Yugoslav history. This podcast runs about fifty minutes. Enjoy!
