Why am I doing the show? It's mainly in the spirit of public service: I believe that if we don't fundamentally change the way we do things this country will be nearly wrecked in a generation. It's that serious.

I hope you, the audience, see the need for this kind of thinking -- which is still very much a minority view. I really need your financial support to get the good ideas out there. Your support not only helps make the show possible, it makes it possible to improve, to grow, to acquire a voice in the public space.

I try to deliver the highest quality show I can. It's meant to be informative, educational, and entertaining. An awful lot goes into it, and none of that is free. If you like what you hear, please, help make this a community project.

I very strongly encourage small donations to be made every month or every couple of months. If you really like a particular show, send in a few dollars. No donation is too small. And I welcome larger donations, which I am happy to discuss with prospective donors.

If you like, you can also set up a regularly recurring donation through PayPal. Recurring donations are an especially helpful way to contribute because they make EP's budgeting for frequent expenses (such as international telephone calls) much, much easier.

EP had been using a recurring donation service from BlogPatron, which worked great, but they are in the process (unfortunately) of discontinuing it. I'll try to find another option for recurring donations than PayPal, to accommodate everyone.
