Pneumonia
I'm just back from the Sibley Hospital emergency room. Seems I've got pneumonia. I knew something wasn't right. In fact, yesterday I had a couple serious scares that I was about to suffocate when I couldn't draw a breath. After X-rays and blood work (the latter was fine, the former showed fluid in my right lung) Sibley wanted to admit me but I promised to take it easy and rest so they just gave me some prescriptions and sent me home. Haven't had pneumonia before. Most unpleasant.

You are not alone George, I'm only 40 and already I have sever macular degeneration in my left eye and recently it's started to develop in the other one. What are we going to do Dude with these broken bodies? Keep-on-keepin-on I guess...the best we can ;)
You certainly have in my opinion, as is demonstrated with your work for this show.
PS I need to send you some $, it's been awhile.

Sorry to read about your travails.
August last year I suddenly developed a vicious fever (42C) which lasted for a weeks and necessitated two visits to the emergency room. Night sweats, shakes and chest pains round out the symptoms.
Eventually the E-room doctor declared me to have pneumonia, and I was fed an intravenous anti-biotic which cleared my symptoms within hours.
A week later my dentist diagnosed an abscess in my jaw underneath a root-canal which went bad without symptoms... that apparently was the source of my problems.

Get well soon George and thanks very much for valiantly seeing your way through to put out the podcast this week.
Keep breathing and podcasting please.

Get well, George!
I had pneumonia when I was 18. I'd been feeling sick for a few days, and in true 18-year-old fashion, didn't see a doctor until my mom forced me to get checked out. Missed my last two weeks of High School (the yearbook signatures all mention me being sick), and lost about 10 pounds as a result.
No fun at all. Make sure you get all the rest you can.

Did they test you for flu?
It's coming, and would make a good topic for a podcast.
And a long one at that.
Wash your hands, everyone!!
