Yes, for Judd Gregg
President Obama has made a very good choice for Commerce. An inspired choice. Senator Judd Gregg is a genuine moderate — in temperament, at least, if not always in practice — and will bring reasonable pragmatism to bear. (See his voting record against his party, here.) One observation I've not noticed other commentators make: the demoralizing effect this appointment has on other Republican Senators shouldn't be underestimated. Judd Gregg is a senior Senator, well respected, well liked, and from the politically consequential state of New Hampshire. If he's willing to bail out, what does that say about the disarray he leaves behind? It'll be most interesting to see how he presents new ideas from the Obama administration to his former colleagues.

Well. Regardless of Gregg's intentions and pragmatism (and apparent volunteering), he's gone.
What did the Hyenas in the party of disasters get on him? What did they use to make him bail? Or is he simply rethinking (I don't believe this)?
I am impressed and touched that Pres. Obama is still trying to get some cabinet content from "over there" to show balance, good faith, fairness or what ever, but, and this is (pardon the pun) a big but: The Republican, conservative attitude towards government itself is delusional and dangerous. This we know. They might be made to see the light if the necessary work is done right and time shows the facts later. No time to lose burdening such an important effort with wrong ideals, actions and individuals.
We need to preserve what little momentum we have and right the situation if we can. We are still headed for hell in a hand basket.
Peeling off a few of the reasonable from their camp would be nice, but is it necessary?
And can we please get some dirt on their leadership? Shrill and belligerent deception of the public is just making matters worse and fast.
I still favor partition.
