May Podcast Schedule (Somewhat Tentative)
Only the first of these is recorded, but I feel reasonably confident about the others to indicate where we're going this month. And, if you're wondering why I haven't been blogging much, the reason is that putting these shows together has taken a great deal of time. First up, on May 4th, is a two-part conversation with Larry Devlin, formerly CIA Chief of Station in the Congo (twice during the 1960s) and subsequently Chief of Station in Laos (at a time when Laos was the largest CIA station in the world). Larry has a new book out, Chief of Station, Congo, which is most of what we talk about here since I'm particularly interested in the Congo: I was a kid there when he was there and much later served briefly there as a U.S. diplomat. But we also go into the war in Iraq, CIA organization and training, and other things. Part I should be about an hour and a half; Part II about forty five minutes. Most likely I'll post Part II on Saturday, May 5th. (Editing these files is a lot of work!)
Following Larry, on May 11th I'll be talking with David Ray Griffin about 9/11. David has a new book out, Debunking 9/11 Debunking, in addition to the half a dozen or so (depending how one counts) on 9/11 he's already written, and goodness knows how many other books on theology.
On May 18th I'll be talking with Joe Rich, recently retired from the Justice Department, where he'd been Chief of the Voting Section in the Civil Rights Division. Joe has written a number of pieces critical of the administration's politicization of Justice and has testified about this before Congress.
And finally, on May 25th, I'll be talking with Helen Thomas, legendary White House correspondent. Griffin and Rich are definitely scheduled — Helen Thomas is still somewhat tentative, but I very much hope it happens!

George,
I'm really glad to hear you're getting David Ray Griffin. It seems that anyone who questions the government's 9/11 theories is persona non grata in the media. Thanks for being open-minded on this. And congratulations on getting Helen Thomas! She's a true legend and I'm really looking forward to her talk with you.

Very exciting George — just started part one with Mr Devlin.
As well, I'll certainly be curious to hear David Ray Griffin. I will keep my fingers crossed for a clear and concise argument.
The official account is nonsense. But I become very skeptical of anyone that attempts to provide answers to who was responsible. From what I know he points at 'an inside job', in a general way on a consistent basis.
Question it, digest it, but do not claim to know who did it. Those people scare me a little. The reasons for a cover-up are endless. Not all include our government being 'evil'. To suggest that as the most plausible explanation = not good. Certainly not a way to convince the average population to question. It is not the logical way to proceed.
